​SMS|Host Trainer

​The SMS|Host Trainer is a key point of contact between Springer-Miller Systems and our customers. You are high-energy, customer-focused and motivated to help our customers succeed by helping them understand how our products work and how to implement them effectively. You understand that at the end of the day, your job is to drive customer adoption by focusing on customer success and building product champions. You thrive on travel and the opportunity to visit some of the world’s finest hotels and resorts while pursuing a fulfilling career-building role in technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, facilitate and perform software implementation and training at customer sites and online
  • Provide go-live support for new installations
  • Provide post-installation support
  • Perform software audits for installed accounts
  • Assist clients in customizing software configuration
  • Create, document and educate clients on customized procedures
  • Assist in the development of new installation and training materials, evaluate and revise existing courses and materials
  • Learn software enhancements and additions
  • Rotate through additional assignments and departments as required
  • This position requires frequent travel and may require working varying shifts, long hours, and weekends.

  • An understanding of hospitality business issues and how software can help solve them
  • Ability to solve problems with varying degrees of difficulty
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills along with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to adjust course content and discussion level on the fly based on the aptitude of the student
  • An understanding of corporate etiquette and the ability to ask the right questions to understand true business needs is essential
  • Ability to use a variety of learning/training concepts and principles is required along with knowledge of adult learning
  • Analytical and creative problem solving skills under pressure, questioning and feedback skills
  • Customer service orientation and commitment to quality, responsibility, high work standards, and initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Love of travel


  • Hotel operations experience
  • Public speaking and education experience
  • Ability to travel 70%+
  • High School Diploma, Bachelors Degree preferred
